Founded in June 2025 through research translation from the High-Tech Research Institute of Nanjing University, Changzhou, Hongbo (Changzhou) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. focuses on regenerative materials, synthetic biology and medical technology, and is building a medical device proof-of-concept center.
Biosynthetic ECM developed by founder Professor Chi Bo has a 3D structure. Research and application exploration cover stem cell culture, drug delivery, tissue regeneration and repair, aesthetic medicine and injectable fillers.
The company has a 1,000 m² Class 10,000 cleanroom facility, raw-material production capability, and three finished-product lines for lyophilized injectable preparations, vial filling and dressings, with a complete quality inspection system.
The company holds three Class II medical device registration certificates. Devices under development, including implantable absorbable gels, absorbable hemostatic powders and absorbable wound dressings, have completed pilot production and are being prepared for type testing.

PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Nanjing University; professor and doctoral supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering, Nanjing Tech University.
Postdoctoral research at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology (IECB), focusing on biomimetic materials. Council member of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Devices Committee of the China Association for Medical Devices Industry.
Co-founder
Director of the High-Tech Research Institute of Nanjing University, Changzhou, and doctoral supervisor at Nanjing University.
Experience in industry–university–research collaboration and research translation. Honors include a second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award, a Ministry of Education Natural Science Award and Jiangsu science and technology awards.

PhD from IECB and master's supervisor at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Previously an R&D supervisor at Pharmaron; has led an NSFC Young Scientists Fund project.

Postdoctoral researcher at Nanjing Tech University, with experience in medical device R&D, registration and biomimetic hydrogel materials.
R&D Supervisor · Master of Engineering
Seven years of medical device R&D experience, including Class III device development, registration and technology transfer.

Deputy Director of the High-Tech Research Institute of Nanjing University, Changzhou, and Deputy Director of the Changzhou Wujin Technology Transfer Center, with medical industry and management experience.

Master of Engineering with twenty-five years of experience in pharmaceutical production, R&D and quality management. Has led the establishment of new pharmaceutical facilities.

Bachelor of Engineering with eighteen years of medical production management experience; previously a production supervisor at Venus.

Master of Medicine with eleven years of medical device experience. Previously held registration roles at Jiangsu Trautec and Biosis Healing.
